About the Event

Breinigsville, PA – On Friday, July 18, 2025, under the lights at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center ( thevelodrome.com), Jamie Alvord, Senior Member of the Edge Cycling Elite Men's Team, will attempt to break the Flying Kilo track record during the Corporate Challenge.

The current record—1:01.4—was set in 2005 by Travis Smith of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Jamie’s goal is to not only eclipse that time, but to do it in honor of a close friend and former teammate whose legacy continues to inspire.

This effort is dedicated to Arnav Krishna, a nationally recognized junior cyclist whose promising career was tragically cut short by osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. With the support of the community, Jamie is looking to both break the record and race to the cure.

You can help by donating on the Team Arnav Website. (teamarnav.org)
